About Bloomshoppe

Erin Burchwell, owner and lead designer for The Bloom Shoppe, grew up traveling through much of Eastern Europe as a child. She developed a deep love for art, texture and color which is evident in her unique artistic style. As a child, she was always picking wild flowers to arrange for the dinner table, and by high school, she was designing flowers for friends weddings. She worked for a few florists in South Carolina before getting married and moving to Ohio in 2003. It was then that she decided to start her own floral business from the basement of her house. Her reputation and style grew quickly through word-of-mouth and for the past 7 years she has been busy with weddings, corporate events, fundraisers and custom décor for houses at Christmas time. While flowers are her first love, she is also a published children’s book illustrator and jewelry designer for several local boutiques. She likes to stay busy while balancing her family, two dogs and a hairless cat named Harry.
