The Bloom Shoppe is a privately owned floral company that specializes in creative custom designs. Erin Burchwell, owner and head designer, has been a floral artist for more than 10 years. Her training in art and extensive European travels have gone into the making of her unique style. "I've never seen anything like that before . . ." is an often-repeated phrase among those who see Erin's creations for the first time.

Texture is one of many elements that sets Erin Burchwell's work apart from what we commonly see in floral design. She often uses feathers, twigs, seashells, vegetables, uncommon greens or other natural elements as a backdrop to her focals.

"I love a creative challenge, especially around unusual themes for banquets or parties," Erin told us, referencing a recent "cowboy"-theme party in which she incorporated underwater cactus flowers with rusty barbed wire and grasses. Another favorite winter event featured round balls of white roses with peacock feathers set in birch-bark boxes.

"She really takes her time with you and gives you her full, undivided attention. You would never know that she has any other events planned except yours," said a recent bride of Erin designed for. "You can count on Erin to make your special event beautiful and unique. She takes the pain out of the planning process."
