Erin Burchwell

I have been a florist for more than 28 years and a professional artist for more than 20 years. I started my floral design studio, The Bloom Shoppe, in 2004. My extensive travels across much of Eastern Europe in the early 1990’s had a large influence on my style and designs. My focus with floral design now mostly focuses on custom Christmas decor for private houses and corporate events.

I have a B.S. in Speech Education with a proficiency in Dramatic productions and minor in Art. I taught art, public speaking, debate and Mock Trial for 16 years while also running my business.

Beginning in 2010 I published and illustrated three childrens books about Ohio, third of which I wrote and illustrated for the city of Lancaster through grants and private donors through AHA Childrens museum.

I love a creative challenge! Whether it be floral design, teaching art classes, painting murals or visiting schools and libraries with author presentations
